Bio

Dianna Hacker-Taylor is an experienced pediatric nurse, nurse practitioner and nursing faculty member. She holds national certification as a pediatric nurse practitioner in primary care and as a family nurse practitioner. Ms. Hacker-Taylor graduated from Northern Kentucky University with an Associate Degree in Nursing and went on to complete a Baccalaureate degree as well. She completed her RN to BSN program at the College of Mount St. Joseph in Ohio. Graduate degrees include a Master of Science degree in Pediatric Nurse Practitioner from the University of Cincinnati and a post-master’s certificate in Family Nurse Practitioner studies at Western Kentucky University. Recent education includes completion of a DNP Doctorate of Nurse Practitioner from Eastern Kentucky University. She was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau at both universities. Ms. Hacker-Taylor is currently completing her DNP degree in organizational leadership from Eastern Kentucky University. Her DNP project focused on improving asthma management behaviors in Kentucky school nurses. Experience includes working as a Registered Nurse in the newborn nursery and post-partum units at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. Pediatric nursing experience obtained at Cincinnati Children’s hospital working in the emergency department as well as from working on medical-surgical units. Pediatric nurse practitioner experience includes working in a school-based clinic for Boone County Kentucky schools and as a provider for Mercy Health in Urbana Ohio. Ms. Hacker-Taylor worked as an Assistant Nursing Professor and has taught the pediatric nursing curriculum at Berea College.

Dr. Hacker-Taylor resides in Somerset, Kentucky with her husband John, and her very well-loved dogs. Gracie a Shih Tzu and Tilly a Maltese.
