Free Clothing Fair and Donation Drive

Donation Drive

The Office of Sustainability’s annual Free Clothing Fair initiative consists of two parts. The first is a campus-wide donation drive to collect clean and gently used clothing and shoes from faculty, staff, and students. Interested in donating? Please see the map of official donation areas below. Multiple donation areas are provided across campus, from October to early November.

Free Clothing Fair

The second is the Free Clothing Fair itself, held every November. The Free Clothing Fair allows students to shop from a variety of clothing items. Clothing remaining after the fair is donated to a variety of organizations, including the bell hooks center, the Child Development Laboratory, and Goodwill. By planning and hosting this event, the Office of Sustainability hopes to reduce textile waste and encourage the reuse of clothing. We aim to support students by reducing expenses related to clothing purchases while creating a circular economy. Furthermore, we strive to spread awareness about environmental degradation caused by manufacturing clothes.
